BOARD OF DIRECTORS
2023 BHNA PRESIDENT
MICHAEL RAGAN

My wife Lori and I moved to the Beresford Hillsdale area in 1994. I’ve volunteered in many capacities including attending the San Mateo Academy, heading the Hillsdale Traffic Forum Steering Committee, and serving on the advisory board for our city’s bicycle master plan. Before living here, I resided in San Mateo’s Fiesta Gardens and served as president of their HOA. Additionally, I served on the Citizens Advisory Board for the update to San Mateo’s General Plan in 1990.
TOM LEASE

Tom and his wife Mercedeh have lived in San Mateo since October 2012 and they love it here. Tom got involved with BHNA to help collect signatures for Measure P height limits. His biggest concerns for San Mateo are overbuilding and laws that allow Wall Street to monetize our suburban neighborhoods that add zero affordable housing and no infrastructure responsibilities on developers. Tom loves the trees, beauty, services, location, fresh air, Hetch Hetchy water, and all of his friends and neighbors. He hopes to see you around town!
DON LEYDIG

Don is a life long resident of San Mateo and a 50 year home owner on Arbor Lane with his wife, Lani. Don was a career teacher/administrator in the San Mateo Union High School District and was principal of Hillsdale High School from 1990-2005. In retirement, Don’s interests include travel, golf, photography, reading, the Hillsdale High School Foundation and Alumni Association, and, of course, the general welfare of the Beresford Hillsdale Neighborhood and the City of San Mateo.
ANDREA MCCUTCHIN

Andrea became a San Matean after relocating from Southern California in 1995. Since joining the BHNA board in 2013, Andrea has been an active member and is glad to represent her neighborhood in the city of San Mateo. Andrea is committed to bringing speakers and information on topics that are of interest to everyone.
GENEL MORGAN

Genel has been a board member since 2018. She grew up and attended school K-12 in San Mateo. Professionally, Genel is a RN retired from Mills Peninsula Health Services after 43 years. Genel is committed to keeping BHNA members informed about the challenges facing the community and how to be involved to protect their rights.
LISA TANER

Lisa is active in organizations like the San Mateo United Homeowners' Association, the Police Activities League and the Rotary Club of San Mateo. Professionally, Lisa has a background in property management and estate planning, but recently retired and is dedicated to keeping the BHNA community informed.
