Next Member Meeting - January 22nd

Our January 22nd meeting date is in-person.  Location details are in our Member Newsletter. (Not a member? Join now at Join-Renew).  Will we lose car lanes on Alameda? When will they demo Hillsdale Mall? What does it mean for the Hillsdale Garden Apartments to go 'low income?' Will there be a new signal installed at Hillsdale and Alameda? So many questions for the year ahead!  Come hear our City Councilmember for an update, his priorities and what the year may bring at our upcoming Member meeting. This is also a chance to ask questions and share opinions or concerns.

Other Noteworthy Dates

 

1) New, fun spot! Chill Spot Rendezvous recently opened downtown and not only has flavorful treats, but offers fun FREE events for the public. Coming up is their “Laughter Yoga” on January 2, 2025 at 11:00 am - 12:00 pm. Find them at 271 Baldwin Avenue. 

 

2) Community Meeting on Tenant Protections – January 15th at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 330 W. 20th Avenue. Continued outreach and community engagement on how to update the City’s tenant protections and anti-displacement policies. 3) Lunar New Year in Downtown (South B Street between Baldwin Ave. & 2nd Ave.) Celebrate Lunar New Year on Saturday, January 25th in Downtown San Mateo! This family-friendly  event will showcase a Lion Dance performance at noon, plus community booths with activities, red  envelopes, and giveaways for kids from noon to 2pm. BHNA Meeting Dates

Member Meetings are held at least 4 times annually, with those dates typically being the third Tuesday of the announced months from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.  Any variation will be noted in your newsletters.  In 2024 our goal is for in-person meetings, but from time to time we will still host meetings via Zoom when necessary.
